This is a blog about the annoyances of life and the little things that make us go, "STOP IT". Sports cards are one of my plentiful hobby addictions and it will also be one of the many items that are discussed on this blog. Feel free to leave your opinion and thoughts.

YOU'RE FIRED!!!
The Big Kahuna has fired all of his staff since he felt he should've been the number one blog in the month of April 2013. "I felt that with all of the hard work I've done that we should've been able to capture that glorious moment of being the number one blog on Goggle search and we failed miserably. I don't want to shed any weight over this firing of the staff members issue and I swear on a fish's ass that it had nothing to do with being number 37 on the list." The Big Kahuna did not visibly appear to be bitter about not being the number one choice by Goggle but simply stated what he felt in his gut that since he does all of the work around here that he should be the one to reap all of the benefits. The Big Kahuna also stated that in order to keep production costs down that he would be liquidating his staff immediately and cancelling the corporate free ice cream credit cards.

Time for another gift to be distributed into society (Giveaway)
On this nineteenth day in the month of April and in the year of our Lord 2013, We the Collective Mind Hive at E.A. (we are not the company who has been voted "worst company" two years in a row by The Consumerist) have decided to spread cheer and wealth across the land in hopes of making men merry enough to dance even more with their wives, act giddy like little school girls, spray "HAIR NET" hairspray on their chest hairs and spread the word across the land that their is hope and a gift offering that will make men proud to have hair sprayed stiff chest hairs and that their sons and daughters will be as happy as lemmings jumping off the cliffs to their unknowingly demise. Cats will eat dogs and birds will eat snails. Women will be so overjoyed that they will form unions dedicated to making men lower on the food chain and.......
WTH?!?!?!
I really need to adjust my meds!
Here are the guidelines for the gift/giveaway offering:
1. Sign your first name once to the comment box
2. Inside the comment box leave the name of who you think will be the rookie of the year in both the MLB American and National League in 2013.
3. The offering shall end on MAY 1. You must be listed by 11:59pm on May 1 to be eligible.
4. Only enter once.......or you will be sacrificed into Mt. Wannahakalugi!
5. Spread the good word with a Holy Hand Message.
5. Random.org will be picking the winner. Afterwards I will then be picking my nose.
So what are the prizes you ask? Well......I'll give you a few hints over the next few days:
"First shalt thou shall be signatures and cloth.
Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less.
Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three.
Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three.
Five is right out.
Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then you shall have found your answer."

I can't believe this happened in Boston.
My
thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Boston, the first responders, Police forces, all runners
and their families in Boston. I certainly hope that we can take the right
paths to solving this terroristic act quickly, thoroughly, and quietly
while bringing justice to those who are guilty for this horrendous act.

Chicken Scratch: Jarrod Parker Edition
In this lovely edition of "Chicken Scratch", we are looking at the autograph of Oakland A's Pitcher Jarrod Parker. Jarrod was drafted 9th by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft and then was traded to the Oakland A's in December 2011.
When you observe his rookie card from 2008 Bowman Chrome you can clearly see on this card
When you observe his rookie card from 2008 Bowman Chrome you can clearly see on this card
that he signed, "his" version of his full name on the card . Although his name cannot be fully recognized by his signature, for the most part you can make out the "J" and the "P".
The card that you're looking at for this edition of "CS" is from 2013 Topps Baseball series one "Chasing the Dream" insert. Allow your eyes to gaze upon the signature. Now, move ahead five years later after the Bowman Chrome card and his autograph seems to have a bit of change in its presentation.
This may be in part due to a limited amount of signing space because of the type of sticker that is used for signing or he's getting older and has signed his name a hundred thousand times and does not care what it looks like.
Once again another "on card" version of his autograph:
Honestly this card almost looks like it was signed in Japanese to a degree almost. You can make out the "J" and not a whole lot of other letters. It almost looks like the initials of HVE or HVX. Either way it's hard to make out his name.
